Logical Sequence of Words

      As the name implies, in this type of problems, a sequence is formed with a certain number of words given in such a way that a particular arrangement of the words gives a logical step-by-step completion of the process or the activity described.

      To understand the method of arranging the given words in a logical order we should study the given four examples.

Example I. - (1) Butterfly (2) Cocoon (3) Egg (4) Worm

(A) 4, 3, 2, 1                      (B) 2, 4, 3, 1

(C) 2, 3, 4, 1                      (D) 3, 4, 2, 1

Ans. - (D) There are above words showing the life cycle of a Butterfly — Egg → Worm → Cocoon → Butterfly

Example II. - (1) Honey (2) Honey Bee (3) Flower (4) Wax

(A) 1, 2, 3, 4                      (B) 3, 2, 1, 4

(C) 4, 3, 2, 1                      (D) 1, 2, 3, 4

Ans. - (B) Flower → Honey Bee → Honey → Wax

Example III. (1) Rain (2) Monsoon (3) Rescue (4) Flood (5) Shelter (6) Relief
